Bull Run to Blood Bath

I completed my MBA in finance in year 2014. Thereafter, I worked at Kotak Securities for two years. I became a mutual fund distributor in year 2017.

Shortly after I started, there was debt crisis (defaults happening in the industry) and brokerage cut in October 2018 and April 2019. And if this was not enough, markets crashed by 40% due to Covid in Year 2020. Inspite of this, I was able to grow my business. Infact, due to all these events I realised the power of trail and the reason trail is paid, to manage the client in tough times.

My current AUM is 25 Crores and my SIP book is 16 Lacs. It was an amazing journey from the bull run in year 2017 to the blood bath in year 2020. I learnt many lessons during this time. The most important was the power of asset allocation.
